25,000 PUNJAB GRAIN DEALERS ON STRIKE, 1962
Submitted by neeraj on 29 April 2016 - 2:39pmAbout 25,000 food grain dealers in 60 "mandis" have gone on an indefinite strike , according to reports received at the office of the Punjab Grain Dealers Association here today till noon.
The strike is the protest against the enforcement of the rules framed under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Marketing Act. The strike call was issued by the association yesterday.There are about 40,000 grain dealers in the 126 "mandis" of the state.
