NO SHADY DEALS BY BCCI : MANMOHAN | AUGUST 1991

The government's statement claiming that the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) was not involved in any anti-state activities of shady deals sparked off uproarious scenes followed by a walkout by the entire Opposition in Parliament today.

Members of the National Front and Left parties charged the government with suppression of facts and trapped into the well of the Lok Sabha disregarding pleas by the Speaker that they would give their comments during a special discussion on the subject in the House.
